The department has the latest computerized bicarbonate hemodialysis machines with volumetric ultra-filtration and adjustable sodium facility to ensure patient safety.
We provide regular dialysis services from 7.00a.m to 8.00a.m (3 shifts). We have separate isolated units for hepatitis B and HIV infection patient in IAH, New Delhi.
Continuous monitoring of sick patients on dialysis is done throughout the dialytic procedure with the help of a highly specialized monitor.
More than 4000 hemodialysis are performed in 2 years (3 shifts of dialysis of 4 hours each) including ICU dialysis, by a highly trained technical and nursing staff under the guidance of dialysis medical officers, and overall supervision of senior consultants.

Emergency Unit
As soon as patients are wheeled into the ER, the process of evaluation and simultaneous treatment begins within few seconds. The spacious Emergency complex has designated Resuscitation beds, Triage beds, Paediatric bed, Isolation Room with shower & modular Eye Washer for communicable diseases and Procedure Room for minor procedures and decontamination facility.
Critical Care Unit
The support of 72-bedded Critical Care Unit, with specialized Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiothoracic, Neurological, Surgical, Burns, Gastroenterological and Neonatal Units provides the specialized back-up care that is essential for serious patients.
We are also the Regional Training Centre (RTC) for organizing international life-saving courses in Emergency & Trauma Care for Eastern and North Eastern India to improve the quality of emergency care. It provides hands-on training to the healthcare providers to handle crises like acute coronary syndrome, acute stroke, and resuscitation in cardiac arrest as per the internationally approved guidelines.
